Izzie Yardley is a singer-songwriter based in Somerset. She has attracted critical recognition as a singer, lyricist and multi-instrumentalist, crafting detailed songs laced with imagination, emotion and beguiling complexity, which draw from British folk traditions as well as the jazz and classical music she grew up on.

Her publicly-funded debut EP Imposter was released in June 2023. Produced by Dom Monks (Big Thief, Billie Marten) it earned airtime from the likes of BBC Scotland, Absolute Radio, and led to support from PRS Foundation Women in Music and Help Musicians Do it Differently Fund.
Her captivating and unfettered live performances, which take on more of an improvisational quality when with her band – Nick Pini (Laura Marling, Nick Mulvey), Ethan Johns (Crosby, Stills & Nash, Ray Lamontagne) and Luke Potashnick (The Temperance Movement) -, are earning her a rapidly growing audience.

In 2023 she played The Great Escape festival, opened for artists like Supalung (Sam Brookes), Robert Vincent, Beans on Toast, Ocean Colour Scene, and completed her own UK tour. Most recently she has supported Jesca Hoop and opened for both Matt Deighton and Ida Mae on their UK tours.

2024 will see the release of more music, beginning with ‘Hazy‘ on July 5th, continuing her collaboration with producer Dom Monks.
As well as writing her own material she also works as a session vocalist for contemporary artists as well as TV/Film composers, recently recording backing vocals for Sir Tom Jones, Freddie & The Scenarios (The Vaccines), and Elles Bailey.
